Excerpts from Obituary:
ALLEN DeWAYNE MELLSTEAD of Portland
Died April 20, 2019-age 85 at Sanilac County Medical Care Facility, Sandusky.
Born September 20, 1933. Graduated PHS in 1951. In PHS Sports Hall of fame.
Graduated MI Technological Univ., in Houghton in 1956 with Bachelors's degree 
of Civil Engineering.
Commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army in 1956.
Preceded in death by his wife, of 37 years, Beverly Ann (Lehman).
Also his parents, John W & Beulah Mellstead of Portland, 2 sisters, an infant 
grandson, and 2 brothers-in-law. 
Survived by sister, Jean Esterline, sons Brian (Roxanne) Timothy (LeAnn), 
Stephen (Michelle), Daniel (Sarah), James (Larry) and daughter Amy Crowner.
Also 16 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Graveside ceremony at Portland Cemetery at 10 AM May 20th, 2019.
