PORTLAND-  Funeral service for Clifford K. Mellstead, 77, of 607 Kent St., 
Portland, were 2 pm Monday at Portland Methodist Church with Rev. Down 
Chamberlain officiating.

Burial was in Portland Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Keith, James, Rex and Arnold Ainslie, Robert Stuart, Dale Mock 
and Samuel Gay.

He was born August 24, 1901 in Orange Township, the son of Harry Mellstead and 
Nellie Kneale.

Survivors include wife, Helen; three daughters, Mrs. Lorna Ainslie of Haslett; 
Mrs. Marilyn Bottoms of Upland, Ind., Mrs. Janice Patrick of Eagle, 11 
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, John Mellstead of 
Portland and one sister, Mrs. Bessie Alberts of Portland.

Funeral arrangements were made by Neller Funeral Home of Portland.
