Michael Edward Melton, 57, of Hubbardston passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 
at MacLaren Health in Lansing. 

Mike was born July 16, 1957 in Lansing the son of Donald and Anna (Dalton) 
Melton.  He married Mary Osborne on August 25, 1979 in Hubbardston.  Mike 
retired from General Motors in Lansing in 2000.  He was a volunteer fireman and 
started his own tree removal service.  Mike enjoyed racing, working on cars, 
hunting and loved time spent with family. 

He is survived by his wife Mary, children Jennifer Melton-Taylor, Casey Melton, 
Richard Melton, Elizabeth Melton, grandchildren Jacob, Emily, Kara, Ali, mother 
Anna Melton and brothers Greg (Laura) Melton and Mark Melton.   Mike was 
preceded in death by his father, sister Leeann and an infant brother baby Dick. 

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Lux 
and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12 
p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorials 
may be made to Hands on Hubbardston.
