                              DENNIS LEE MELVIN, Sr.

LYONS-Dennis Lee Melvin Sr., 27, of Lyons died Sunday morning due to accidental 
injuries.

He was born in St.Johns on July 15 1951, the son of Joseph Keith Melvin, Sr., 
and Maxine Phelps Melvin.

Melvin was married in Ionia to Sondra Lynn Fletcher in July 1971. Once employed 
by the Reynolds IGA store in Muir, he had been employed by Fisher Body Plant in 
Lansing the past nine years.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Lee, II and Jeremy Joseph, both at home; 
mother,Mrs.Maxine Melvin of Ionia; one sister,Mrs Alan (Sandra) Thelen of 
Fowler; two brothers, Joseph Keith Melvin II of Lansing and Bruce Alan Melvin of 
Edwards AFB, California; two grandmothers,Mrs.Edith Melvin of Fowler and 
Mrs.Irene Phelps of Ionia. His father,Joseph Melvin Sr., preceded him in death 
on March 18, 1973.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Muir Presbyterian Church with the 
Rev. Richard Strait and the Rev. mark Matter officiating.

He will be at theHull memorial Chapel in Muir until noon Wednesday.

Burial will be at a later date in the Muir Cemetery.
