The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, February 28, 1923

The funeral for Mrs. Fredericka Melzow was held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at 
the residence of her son, Louis Melzow, and from the German Lutheran church at 
2:00 o’clock.  Rev. B. H. Succop officiated.  The floral offerings were many 
and beautiful.  Burial took place in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.

Those from out of the city to attend the services were: William Melzow, of 
Saginaw, Fred Melzow, Frank C. Melzow, Frank W. Melzow, Mr. and Mrs. William 
Bruder, Mrs. Dena Bruder and Mr. and Mrs. Persausky, all of Detroit, and 
William Melzow, Jr., of Flint.  

The bearers were four grandsons, Frank C. Melzow, Charles Melzow, Frank W. 
Melzow, and William Melzow, Jr.
