Mary Margaret Merique, 91, of Ionia, formerly of Union Lake passed away July 23,
2003.  She was born in Baraga Feb. 26, 1912 the daughter of Henry and Marie
(Schneiders) Voskuhl.  Mrs. Merique was a member of the Portland V.F.W. Ladies
Auxiliary #4090.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo Dorsky and Oscar Merique; one
grandchild; two sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are her children; Janice (Max) Neikirk of Greencastle, Pa., John (Shirley)
Dorsky of Portland; Gary Dorsky of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 28
great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

At her request, Mrs. Merique has donated her body to science at Wayne State
University and there will be no services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
