Ionia Daily Sentinel, 21 May 1901

Jesse Merithew of North Plains, a well known young farmer, died on Friday and was 
buried on Sunday.  He was a member of Muir camp of the Woodmen, and the funeral 
procession is said to have been half a mile long.  He leaves a young widow.
