MRS. MAUDE MERKLE
Mrs.Maude Merkle, 74, a long time resident of Ionia died Wednesday at their 718 King
street home.

She was born November 29, 1892 in Ithaca the daughter of Frank and Minnie Evilsizer.
She was a former member of Women of the Moose and Ionia County Farm Bureau.

Her husband, Charles Merkle, died in March of 1954.

Surviving are a son, Lawrence Rhoades of Saranac; daughter Mrs. Burton Helmer of
Ionia; two step daughters, Mrs. Henry Castle of Ionia, Mrs. Albert Clark of Muskegon; one
step-son, Karl Merkle of Grand Rapids; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Myers funeral home, Rev. Robert
McComb will officiate and burial will be in Balcom cemetery.
