Ionia Shopper's Guide - Saturday July 3, 2021

MERKLINER
Harvey Kevin Merklinger age 61 of Lowell passed away June 27, 2021. He was born 
June 17, 1960 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Harvey H. and Carolynn N. 
(Walker) Merlinger.

Harvey married Dee August 16, 2003 in Lowell. He was a member of the Ionia Moose 
Lodge. Harvey loved the outdoors, hunting and tinkering in the garage. He had a 
great sense of humor and was loved by all.

Surviving is his wife Dee Husted-Merklinger of Lowell; mother, Carolynn 
Merklinger of Rockford; step-children, Candace (Joey) Shattuck of Ionia and 
Michael (Melody) Husted of Ionia; grandchildren, Shelby, great grandson Owen 
Craig Lilly; siblings, Charmaine (Glenn) Beimers of Lowell, Lorraine (Jeff) 
Bailey, Michael (Danna) Fuller of Ionia and Joe Fuller of Grand Rapids; sister-
in-law, Paula (Geno) Dugger of Georgia and several nieces and nephews.

Harvey was preceded in death by his Father Harvey H. Merklinger.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life August 7, 
2021, 2:00 p.m. at the Ionia Moose Lodge. Those wishing may make memorial 
contributions to his family for Medical expenses. Arrangements in care of Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
