The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, December 29, 1921

The funeral for Clayton Merriett was held from the Lowrey & Boynton 
undertaking parlors on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Rev. E. E. Branch, 
of the Baptist church, conducted the service.  The bearers were Martin Malone, 
Jeff Way, John Dekwak, and Charles K. Kalkins.  The burial took place in the 
Merriett lot in Oak Hill cemetery.
