Sentinel Standard – Friday, 31 October 1947

Funeral services for Paul D. Merrifield, 36, of Portland killed by a Grand 
Truck passenger train at Muir Wednesday night, are to be held Saturday 
afternoon at 3 pm from the Mapes funeral home at Sunfield.  Burial will be at 
the Danby township cemetery.  Merrifield is survived by his mother Mrs. W. W. 
Merrifield, his wife and two children Sylvia and Alger.
