MENITA KAY MERRILL  1953 - 2017
   Menita Kay Merrill, age 64, of Fenwick, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at her
home.
   Menita was born March 10, 1953 in Key West, Florida, the daughter of Harry and
Margaret (Fisher) Sabin.
   She graduated from Portland High School in 1971, and was also elected Homecoming
Queen the same year. She married Stephen Merrill later that year on Sept. 18, 1971.  
She worked for the Hubbardston Post Office as a clerk and, eventually, Postmaster.  
She spent her free time at horse shows, and with family, friends and her dogs.  She 
took great pride on her cooking.  She also enjoyed gardening, and volunteering in 
the community.  Menita loved her extended and adopted family very much.
  She is survived by loving family including her husband, Stephen; children, Micky
(Amy Ward) Merrill.Lynette (Jeff) Gorman; brother, John Sabin; and five grandchildren, 
Elli Merrill, Troy and Kaylyn Gorman, and Maddy and JT Ward.  She is also survived by 
her many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Helen Mayer, Kathy Weller, and 
Keith and Edith Heezen.
   Menita was preceded in death by her parents.
   A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at The
St. John the Baptist hall in Hubbardston,  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made 
to the Wishes of the Family.
   Condolences from those who can't attend can be sent to the home.  Arrangements 
have been entrusted to the care of the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City.
