Hayes for the past two years and mention of whose sickness has been made in these columns, died at his home on Friday last after a lingering illness of two months with Typhoid pneumonia. Jess was a North Plains boy, having been born and reared to manhood in the township and was well known. He leaves to mourn his death a wife and two little children, also two brothers, Charles and Moses. The funeral was under the auspices of the Woodmen Camp at Muir, of which deceased was a member, and held at the Union Church last Sunday at 2 o’clock, Rev. Wm. Exner preaching the sermon.
