The Ionia County News, Thursday, September 8, 1932

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary L. Merritt, 80, who died in Ford hospital, 
Detroit, Sunday, were held from the Boynton Funeral chapel Wednesday 
afternoon.  Dr. Willard K. Spencer conducted the services and burial was in 
Highland Park cemetery.

Mrs. Merritt was a resident of Ionia for many years, leaving here after the 
death of her husband, eight years ago.  She leaves a daughter and a son.
