Ionia Sentinel Standard, 14 & 15 Aug 1946

Sarah A. Merritt, 88, died Tuesday evening at the Michigan Veterans’ Facility in
Grand Rapids.  She was a former resident of Ionia.  Her husband, the late Edwin W.
Merritt, at one time was manager of the Webber Hardware company, and later conducted
a real estate and insurance agency.

She is survived by a son, Miles, of Long Lake, and a daughter, Mrs. Fred Fischer, of
Detroit and several grandchildren.

The body will be brought to the Bradley funeral home, and arrangements will be
announced later.

Funeral services for Sarah A. Merritt, who died Tuesday at the Veterans Facility in
Grand Rapids will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Bradley funeral home, with
the Rev. Dwight Kitch officiating.  Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
