Sunfield Sentinel - May 19, 2011


Keith Alton Merryfield, 88, died February 10, 2011, at Treasure Coast Hospice.

He was born in Mulliken, Michigan and lived in Hobe Sound for two years, coming 
from Sunfield, Michigan. He was a farmer much of his adult life but also built 
houses in Fort Lauderdale in the 1970’s. He was a member of Nazarene Church in 
Portland, Michigan.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Reva Jane Merryfield of Hobe Sound; 
daughters, Diane Capps of Port Lucie, Fl. and Sharon Ackerson of Sunfield; 
sons, Kenneth Merryfield of Sunfield and keith D. Merryfield of Lyons, 
Michigan; stepsons, Douglas King of Austin, Texas, and Kevin King of Hollister, 
Mo.; Step daughter, Gina Martin of Austin; sister, Leta Collier of Sunfield; 18 
grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; six 
step-grandchildren; and six great-step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death 
by his daughter, Kitty Arneson; sister, Alta May Jones; and brother, Kenneth 
George Merryfield.

Memorial contribution may be made to Church of the Nazarene, 9466 Cutler Road, 
Portland, Michigan 48875.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM, May 21, at the Nazarene Church in 
Portland, Mich.
