CLARKSVILLE- Lois E. Mesecar, 78, of Clarksville, died Wednesday at Blodgett 
Memorial Medical Center, Grand Rapids.

She was born January 29, 1915, in Boston Township, the daughter of Homer and 
Hattie Dausman Walter.

She attended Sage Elementary School and was graduated from Saranac High School 
in 1933. She was graduated as a registered nurse from Blodgett School of 
Nursing in 1937 and from Chic University of Cosmetology in 1965.

She was married to Samuel Bustance on August 17, 1938, in Detroit. He preceded 
her in death on June 9, 1980. She married Sheldon Mesecar on May 22, 1983, in 
Lake Odessa, he survives.

She was employed at the Woman's Hospital in Detroit and at the Mitchell-Bentley 
Corp. of Ionia for several  years. She also owned and operated the Clarksville 
Barber and Beauty Shop for several years.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Patrick and Pamela Nash, both of 
Clarksville; three stepdaughters, Janet Timm of Camarillo, Calif., Marlene 
Jacquette of Laingsburg and Wanda Guilford of Milliken; one brother, Leon 
Walter of Saranac; three grandchildren; and 14 step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Clarksville Bible Church, with 
the Rev. Gordon Iocco officiating.

Burial will be in Clarksville cemetery. 

The family will be at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Clarksville, on Thursday from 7 
to 8:30 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

A  memorial has been established for the Kidney Foundation, in care of the 
funeral home.
