Ionia County News-Thursday August 14, 1930

JEREMIAH MESSER
Burial took place Tuesday afternoon for Jeremiah Messer, 82, of Lyons who died 
Sunday evening at the home of his grandson, Alton Messer, after a ten days 
illness. Rev. A.T.Halstead conducted the services.

Born in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania Mr.Messer went first to Ohio with his 
parents while a boy, then came on to Hubbardston to work. He returned later to 
Ohio where he was married to Miss Rose Anna Pontius.

Two sons Samuel of Muir and Lenow, of Ionia; four sisters, Mrs.Tillie Keefer, 
Rosebush; Mrs.Frank Stone, Lebanon; Mrs.Henry Grill, Hubbardston and Mrs.Clara 
Vance, Pewamo, survive.
