The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 11, 1958
Mrs. Myrtle Messer, 76, widow of Orvis Messer and a former Lyons resident, 
died late Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Farley Tubbs of Lansing.  
She is survived by Mrs. Tubbs, the daughter, and six grandchildren.  A son, 
Donald Messer, died a few years ago.  Mrs. Messer moved to rural Fowler not 
long after the death of her husband.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, 
December 10 at the Osgood funeral home in St. Johns, with burial in East 
Plains cemetery, north of Pewamo.
