Hastings Reminder, Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003

Lake Odessa- Randy Lee Messer, age 39, of Lake Odessa, was called Home on 
Tuesday,, Nov. 18, 2003 after a lengthy illness.

Randy was born in Lansing on April 2, 1964 to Russell and Della (Franks) 
Messer.

He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1982.

Randy had owned Sports Cards Unlimited in Hastings for over 10 years.

He was an avid mushroom hunter and devoted nature lover.

Randy is survived by his loving son, Tim Messer; mother, Della Messer; 
brother, Russ (Sue) Messer; sister, Jan (Roger) Taylor; special cousin, Pat 
Watson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Messer, in 1993.

The funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 21, 2003 at the Koops Funeral 
Chapel in Lake Odessa. Private committal services were held in Lakeside 
Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for his son  Tim's future 
education.

Arrangements were made by Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
