M. Messer, 74, died Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock in Lyons. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Lyons Baptist church. Mrs. Messer was born in Clyde, O., and became a pioneer of Lebanon, where she lived nearly 60 years before coming to Lyons. Mrs. Messer died several years ago from the burns received when the Gleason house burned. Early in life she united with the Baptist church and had always remained with the faith of her early girlhood. Surviving are one son, Orvis, of Muir; three daughters, Mrs. Caleb Wicks, Pewamo; Mrs. Roberts, of Grand Rapids; and Mrs. Miles Tate, Grand Rapids; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
