FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN CALLED HOME
Mrs. PB. Messner, who was beloved by many people for her endearing Christian 
spirit and character left he husband and daughter for her heavenly home on 
February 15th.

Many people spoke of the beautiful life of the deceased and she will be greatly 
missed by man besides her husband and daughter.
                                  OBITUARY
Sarah Maria Hill, daughter of Moses and SarahA.Hill, was born in Perry township, 
Shiawassee county,Michigan,March 22, 1861 and departed this life, Feb. 15, 1922, 
aged 60 years, 10 month and 24 days. She was united in marriage with Peter B. 
Messner Dec. 22, 1878. One daughter was born to them, Grace Elizabeth.

October 16, 1881, Mrs.Messner with her husband was received into Christian 
Fellowship with the church of the Brethren of which she continued a faithful 
member until the time of her departure.

She was a quiet, unassuming disposition, though having deep, strong convictions 
for right and always lived the simple life which harmonized with her Christian 
faith.

All of her life was spent in Michigan, the last thirty-one years in Campbell 
Township, Ionia county.

A goodly number of friends and neighbors, with a few near relatives from Albion, 
Springport, Lansing and Shaftsbrg, Michigan attended the funeral services 
conducted by elder J..Smith at the Thornapple church on Friday afternoon, Feb. 
17. Interment near Clarksville.
