Marguerite C. Mestemaker, age 88, of Ionia, passed away Sat., July 16, 2005 in 
Ionia.  She was born Oct. 15, 1916 in Santa Anna, Calif., the daughter of 
Norman W. and Rose (Miller) Harding.  She married Robert Mestemaker Feb. 9, 
1943.  Marguerite was a founding member of the Cart & Lobby Shop at Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital and a member of Ionia County Historical Society.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Mestemaker of Ionia; 
son Craig and Brenda Mestemaker of California; one great-grandson Devin Reome 
and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister Edith 
Quick.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. 
Bob Nixon officiating.  Interment Tuttle Cemetery.  The family will receive 
friends and relatives 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu 
of flowers, donations may be made in Marguerite’s name to Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital or Ionia Historical Society.
