Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. July 25, 1963

Paul Metzger, 70, route three, Ionia, died Thursday morning at Ingham Medical 
hospital in Lansing where he had been confined one month for treatment of 
injuries received when he was attacked by a bull at his farm.

He was born July 5, 1893, in Muskegon, the son of the late John and Clara 
Metzger, and came with his family to Ionia when a child. Mr. Metzger owned and 
operated a farm on Sayles road I partnership with is brother, Bruce, for many 
years.

Surviving besides his brother Bruce, is Carl Metzger of San Jose, Calif.;  two 
sisters, Mrs. Robert Weisgerber of Ionia and Mrs. Vera Mullholland of Spokane, 
Wash.

The body will repose at the family home on Sayles road from Friday afternoon 
until Saturday morning at 10 a.m. when it will be taken to Easton church where 
services will be held at 2 p.m.

Interment will be at Easton cemetery.
