Lake Odessa Wave-Times   August 10, 1944

MRS. H.C. METZGER BURIED SATURDAY

Funeral services were held from the Wortley & Baine Chapel here Saturday 
afternoon for Mr Henry C. Metzger, 68, who died at her home here Thursday 
afternoon following a long illness. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.

Mrs.Metzger was born May 23, 1876, in Berlin township and had lived her entire 
life in Ionia county. In 1896 she was married to Henry C.Metzger of Woodland and 
the couple resided in Ionia for a  time. Later they moved to Odessa township 
where they resided until their deaths, Mr. Metzger passing away on April 17, 
last.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.C.Lyle Lacy in Lake Odessa a fo ster son, Clarence 
Arney in Woodland, one brother, Emerson Hines at Lansing.
