The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, May 14, 1941


Miss Mary A. Meyer, 64, died shortly after she had suffered a stroke at the 
home of her sister, Mrs. Glenn Brestley, in Keene township, at mid-morning 
Wednesday.  For the past year Miss Meyer had been an invalid.

Funeral services have been set tentatively for Saturday afternoon, May 17, at 
2 o’clock from the Saranac Methodist church with Rev. Loomis officiating.  

Miss Meyer was born in Campbell township December 19, 1876, the daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. John E. Meyer.  Since 1879 she had been a resident of Keene.  She 
had been a member of the Saranac Rebekahs and of the Sunshine club until 
failing health forced her to give up all activities.
