Ionia Sentinel, 19 Nov 1973

Bessie Meyers, 79, of 927 Hackett street, died Monday morning at Ionia Manor.  
She was born September 19, 1894 at Wideman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
William Wilcox.  She has been employed at McClellans, Ypsilanti Reed and A.C. 
Spark Plug.

Married to William Whitelock he died in1957.  September 20, 1960 she was 
married to Herman Meyers.

She was a member of Women of the Moose, Good Cheer club and SS. Peter and Paul 
Catholic church.

Surviving are her husband, Herman; two step-sons, Norman and Robert Meyers of 
Ionia; one brother, Fred Wilcox of Wideman; one sister, Mrs. Bernard Griffiin 
of Ionia; four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul church with 
burial at Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at 
Myers-Roetman funeral home.
