Ronald Roman Meyers, 59, of Lyons passed away of an accidental death Feb. 25, 
2006.

Ron was born in Portland April 29, 1946 the son of Bernard and Virginia 
(Fedewa) Meyers.  He started out working at Oldsmobile and then followed his 
love of farming.  He also delivered the Lansing State Journal for 1 ½ years.  
Ron was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia.  He enjoyed 
farming, tractor pulling and was president of Clintonia Antique Farm Power Club 
for four years.  He also loved and enjoyed being with his children and 
grandsons.  Ron enjoyed talking to his friends and neighbors, and anyone else 
who was willing talk and listen.  He also enjoyed cruising the country roads 
looking at crops, farms and old machinery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernie; sister, Maureen; brother, Bobby.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Linda Meyers; daughters, Missy (Bryan) 
Fossler of Ionia and Debbie Meyers of Lyons; sons, Danny (Friend Sarah) Meyers 
and Chris (Crippy) Meyers, both of Lyons; grandsons, twins Jacob and Alex, and 
Logan Fossler; mother, Virginia Meyers; sisters, Sue (George) Scarbrough and 
Diane Fawley; brothers, Mike (Linda) Meyers, Gary (fiancée Bernie) Meyers, Dave 
Meyers, Kevin (Teresa) Meyers, and Denny Meyers; several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 2 at St. Patrick Catholic 
Church, Portland.  Rite of Committal was at Portland Cemetery.  Arrangements 
were handled by the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
