Mrs. Lydia Meyers, 78, a Sebewa township pioneer, died at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Robert Gierman, Wednesday of last week from pneumonia.  She was 
the widow of Albert Meyers.  Her maiden name was Shipman and she was born at 
Litchfield, April 6, 1857, coming to Sebewa with her parents at the age of 
17.  Fifteen years ago she and a son Archie moved to Sunfield where he died 
last December.  She has since lived with the daughter, Mrs. Gierman.  A son, 
Harry, also survives.

Funeral services were held at the Center church Friday and burial was in 
Sebewa cemetery.  The Rev. Lawrason officiated.  Four grandchildren, Wilfred, 
Charles, Morrice Gierman and Harold Meyers, carried the casket.
