Lucille Meyers, aged 90, of Muir, passed away July 11, 2009.

She was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Ionia, the daughter of Claude and Orilla ( 
Randall) Otto. Lucille graduated in 1936 from Ionia High School. She married 
Frederick Meyers Oct. 19, 1945 in Ionia. He preceded her in death in 1995. 
Lucille retired from Chrysler in 1979. She belonged to the Ionia Elks Club and 
Lyons VFW Auxiliary. Lucille taught ceramics for many years. She loved the 
outdoors and cooking.

Lucille is survived by her sons Richard (Ina) Chambers of Texas, Dennis 
Chambers of Lyons and Boyd (Barb) Meyers of Lyons; grandchildren Julie, 
Patrick, Brian, Amy, Mark, Scott, Greg, Jerry, Fred, Eric and Lynne; 18 great-
grandchildren; brothers Keith (Edith) Otto of Vestaburg and Francis (Coreen) 
Otto of Georgia; sisters Delores (Larry) Dyer of Rodney, Lois (Merritt) 
Johnson of Hastings and Zelphia Hewitt of Georgia and special caregivers Anne, 
Martin and staff.  She is preceded in death by one son Edwin “Spike” Meyers, 4 
brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment at Tuttle Cemetery. The family 
will receive friends and relatives Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 
one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers you may make 
memorial contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation.
