Ionia Sentinel - 25 April 1935
Mrs. Lydia Meyers, 78, of Sunfield, died Wednesday night at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Robert Gierman of Sebewa, following a weeks illness of pneumonia 
and enyspelas, dung which she had been cared for by her granddaughter, Mrs. 
Christene Gierman, a trained nurse of Kalamazoo.

She was born in Litchfield, April 6, 1857, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William 
Shipment, and when she was 17 years of age she moved with her parents to Sebewa.  
She was married to Albert Meyers, October 20, 1878 and they had resided in 
Sebewa until Mr. Meyers died December 17, 1912, and she and her son Archie moved 
to Sunfield.  Her son died December 5, 1934, and since then she had made her 
home with her daughter in Sebewa.  Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Nellie 
Gierman and a son, Harry Meyers, both of Sebewa.

Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sebewa Center 
church with Rev. Lawson of the Sebewa Sunfield circuit officiating.  Interment 
will be at the Sebewa cemetery.
