Robert J. Meyers, 81, of Ionia, passed away October 18, 2014 in Carson City.  
He was born March 18, 1933 in Ionia the son of Herman and Drua (Patrick) 
Meyers.  Robert married Patricia Hayden May 14, 1955.  She passed away January 
12, 2013.  He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.  He loved to 
hunt, fish and travel with his wife. 

Robert is survived by his children, Lisa (Dan) Thelen of Dewitt and Scott 
(Cheryl) Meyers of Ionia; grandchildren, Tom, Scott, Chris, Joshua and Tricia; 
brother, Norman Meyers of Ionia and one great grandson Jaxsen.  

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 22, 10 a.m. at 
SS Peter & Paul Catholic church with Father Tom Boufford celebrant.  Interment 
Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-7 p.m., with a 
scripture service to follow at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  Memorial 
contributions may be made to Ionia County Humane society.
