Lake Odessa Wave 
          "FERD" MEYERS, 65, DIES SUDDENLY THURS. MORNING
   Ferdinand (Ferd) Meyers, 65, retired farmer, passed away unexpectedly Thursday
morning at his home in Vermontville.  He was born in Barry County and resided in this 
vicinity all his life with exception of about six months spent in Arkansas.  They 
returned here last May to spend several months with their son at Alto before moving 
to Vermontville about two months ago.
   Surviving are his wife Edith, four daughters Mrs. Beth Baker of Grand Rapids. 
Mrs. Stella Webster of Ozone, Arkansas, Mrs. Dorothy Manning of Lake Odessa, and Mrs. 
Florence Mead of Hastings, two sons, Arthur of Alto and Homer of Lake Odessa;  sixteen 
grandchildren;  one sister Mrs. Lilly Boynton near Woodbury and two brothers Clarence 
of Woodbury and Bert of Lake Odessa.
   Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens chapel with burial in
Lakeside cemetery.  Rev. Homer Sedelmaier officiated.
