Loren A. Meyers Buried November 21

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 21 for Loren A. Myers, 58, of 
route 3, Hastings, with burial in the Irving township cemetery. Mr. Myers, a 
well known sportsman, and a boat livery operator at Leach lake suffered a fatal 
heart attack on Sunday while hunting with his wife Annie and friends near 
Kalkaska.

Mr. Myers, a former restaurant and lunch room owner had been employed as a  
machinist at the E.W. Bliss Co since 1936.

A native of Woodland, he moved with his parents, Hugh and Minnie Demaray Myers, 
to Hastings when five years old.

Surviving besides his wife are a son, Hugh of Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Elwin 
(Jean) Raffler of Woodland, rte. 2 and Mrs. Wayne (Shirley_ Decker of Hastings, 
a brother Ellsworth of rte. 3, Hastings; a sister Mrs. Lyle (Arloa) Kurr of 
Riverdale, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
