MRS. MARY MEYERS DIED SUNDAY, JUNE 28
Mrs. Mary Sep Pickens Meyers of Sebewa, after two years of poor health, passed 
away at the home of her daughter Mrs.John York, with whom she had lived several 
years, on Sunday, June 28. 

Mrs. Meyers was born April 19, 1859, at Hancock, Ohio, and was therefore 83 
years, two months and nine days old. She was married to William Meyers on 
November 1890. He died about 20 years ago.

She came to Michigan when 17 years of age and later was affiliated with the 
Sebewa Methodist church.

Surviving are four sons, Lancy, Will, and Valentine Meyers at Lake Odessa and 
vicinity, Chester at Battle Creek, and two daughters Elfa Meyers at Lansing and 
Mrs.Wilma York in Sebewa, a brother Thomas Pickens, 11 grandchildren, and one 
great-grandchild.

The funeral wa held Tuesday afternoon at the Sebewa Center Methodist church with 
the Rev. Floyd H. Nagel of the UB church at Sunfield and the Rev. John Bullock 
officiating; Mr and Mrs.John Lippincott were the singers. Interment was in the 
East Sebewa cemetery.
