Sentinel-Standard - Thursday, April 4, 1991

LYONS- James J. Meyers, 73, of 4525 Riverside Dr., Ionia, died Monday at the 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 7, 1917, in Sheridan, the son of Edwin and Lillian Yeomans 
Meyers.

He attended Lyons High School.

He married Louella White on August 11, 1939.

He was a crane operator for several construction companies until his 
retirement in 1979.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Jerry of Lyons; three daughters, Connie 
Sweet of Coral, Mich., Linda Holcomb of Ionia and Carole Sutherland of 
Ionia; two brothers, Fred of Lyons and Lewis of Crystal; one sister, Myrtle 
Rowley of Cedar Springs; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hull Memorial 
Chapel, Muir, with the Rev. Scott Otis of the Lyons-Muir Church officiating.

Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 
p.m. to 9 p.m.

A memorial has been established for the Heart Foundation, in care of the 
funeral home.
