Bennett lib@dogsbark.com July 8, 2010, 1:42 pm Not Given MEYERS, AMELIA: Per undated newspaper obituary, about January 22, 1911: "OBITUARY - Mrs. Amelia Myers. Mrs. Amelia Myers, who has been in poor health for several years, was afflicted with a stroke of paralysis and after a week's serious illness passed away Jan. 22, 1911 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Niles Bennett in Berlin. Funeral at Wesleyan church, Jan. 25, Rev. Lindsley officiating. Amelia Drop was born in Germany Oct. 5, 1823. She came to Buffalo, N. Y., with her parents when 22 years old, living until her marriage to Christopher Myers in 1848, to this union was born seven children, three dying in infancy. Her husband passed away, April 26, 1890. They came to Michigan to live two years before his death. She united with the German Lutheran church while in her youth, always living a good Christian life. She leaves four children, Mrs. Barbara Bennett, Berlin; Jacob Myers, Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. Anna Bennett, Berlin; and Fred J. Myers, Tonowanda, N.Y., to mourn the loss of a good mother. Card of Thanks.
