The Hastings Reminder, Tuesday, October 27, 1998


Arthur W. Meyers, age 82, of Clarksville, passed away on October 19, 1998 at 
Tendercare of Hastings.  He was born November 27, 1915 in Ionia County, the 
son of Ferdinand and Edith (Pallett) Meyers.  He married Anna M. Alderink on 
September 28, 1940.

He was preceded in death by his son, Arthur Owen Meyers; brothers, Floyd and 
Homer Meyers; sisters, Dorothy Manning, Elizabeth Baker and Stella Webster.  
Mr. Meyers is survived by his wife, Anna M. Meyers; daughter, Carolyn (Myron) 
Dooley of Lake Odessa; grandchildren, Lynn (Woodrow Jr.) Weldon, Sue Averial, 
Cheryl (Wendall) Culver, Janette (Daryl) Brodbeck; seven great grandchildren; 
sister, Florence Mead of Hastings; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 22, 1998 at the Koops Funeral 
Chapel, Clarksville.  Reverend George Speas officiated.  Interment took place 
in Bowne Center Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart 
Association or Lakewood Community Ambulance.
