Edward W. Meyers, 91, formerly of 1800 Lillian Boulevard, Portland, died Sunday in
the Veterans’ Facility, Grand Rapids, where he had been a patient two years.  Born
Jan. 31, 1892, in Westphalia, he was the son of Joseph and Josephine Meyers.  A
veteran of World War I, he was retired from Barley-Earhart Corp., Portland.  His
wife Pauline preceded him in death in 1961.

Surviving are: two daughters, Laura Meyers of Melbourne, Australia, and Mrs. Donald
(Edwina) VanDouser of Lansing and five grandchildren.

Rosary services will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Neller Funeral Home, with funeral mass
Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, the Rev. Richard Van Lente
officiating.  Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.
