The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, April 21, 1921

Mrs. Otto Michelsen, West Washington street, who underwent a very serious 
operation at Blodgett hospital Tuesday morning, died about 5:20 this morning.

Mrs. Michelsen was before her marriage Miss Minette Whitney of Portland.  
Besides her husband, she is survived by one brother and one sister and a step-
father.

At this time no announcements regarding the funeral arrangements had been 
received in Ionia.

Subsequent publication:  Friday, April 22, 1921

The funeral for Mrs. Otto Michelsen will be held from the residence, 104 W. 
Washington street Saturday afternoon at 2:30 city time.  Rev. Herbert 
Stevenson will officiate and burial will take place in Highland Park 
cemetery.  The funeral will be private.
