Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 May 1978

Francis M. Michelson, 65, of Stanton died Wednesday afternoon after suffering a
heart attack in Stanton.  He was born in Battle Creek March 30, 1913 and attended
Ionia High School.  

He married the former Beulah Foote in Ionia in October 1938.  They made their home
in Ionia all their married life and she preceded him in death in February, 1957.

Mr. Michelsen worked as a painter for Mitchell-Bentley Corporation and for Harold
Swainston contractors for several years.  He was a former member of First Christian
church in Ionia.

Survivors include one son, Marvin of Stanton; three daughters, Mrs. Louis (Marlene)
Botma of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Monty (Helen) Miller of Stanton and Mrs. William (Ellen)
Kuznicki of Ravenna; two sisters, Mrs. Sig (Gertrude) Scarin and Mrs. Ruth Beeman of
Battle Creek and 12 grandchildren.

Services are Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Ronald Dow
of First Christian church officiating.  Burial is in Highland Park cemetery.  The
family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m.
