Born to William and Catherine Kneiper Warnke in 1933, Delores grew up in farmland in mid-Michigan. As a young woman, she worked as a babysitter and mother’s helper. She met the love of her life, Victor Michutka, while she was working as a telephone operator. The married in 1956 and together build a family based upon their shared Catholic faith. Their first son, Stephen, died when he was a toddler, and they depended upon his intercession and that of Mary for the care of their surviving five children. They settled in Lake Odessa, where their children graduated from Lakewood High School. Delores lost her beloved Victor in 1995. She poured her life into the community of Lake Odessa and especially St. Edward Catholic Church. She moved to the Cleveland area in 2013 and served her family and community at the Sts. Mary and Joseph Home by her prayers and cheerful nature. Delores was predeceased by her parents and by her sister, Theresa Kabelitz. She joins in heaven her husband and baby boy. She is survived by her dear sisters, Rita Miros and Martha Seitz, and brothers Lawrence and Tony Warnke. She will be mourned by daughter, Julie (Elliot Chikofsky); sons, Joe and Tim, and daughters Karen and Diane (Tom Fraser); 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and her parish families. Visitation will be held at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa, on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Edward Catholic Church in Lake Odessa, on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Edward Catholic Church in Lake Odessa, the Dominican Sisters in Grand Rapids, or your local library.
