Ionia Daily Sentinel – Friday, 26 July 1946

Funeral services for Lewis Mick of Clarksville, who died Thursday, will be 
held in the Wesleyan Methodist church in Clarksville Sunday at 2:30 p.m.  He 
is survived by his wife, Anna, and seven children, Mrs. Lietha Thorpe, Miss 
Jewel Mick, Wilbur Alton, Mrs. Rachael Condon, Lewis, Jr., all of Clarksville 
and vicinity, and the Rev. Burton Mick, of Wayland.  He also leaves three 
grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Velma Higdon, of Detroit, and a brother, Claude, 
of Indianapolis, Ind.

Lewis Mick was born June 23, 1883, in Campbell Township.  He was a member of 
the Ionia County road commission, and was on the board of the Edwin Nash State 
Bank.  He was a member of the Clarksville Wesleyan Methodist church.  The body 
will remain at the Beattie Funeral home until Sunday.  Burial will be in the 
Clarksville cemetery.
