The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 21, 1939
Charles Mick, 62, a former resident of Clarksville, passed away in a Battle 
Creek hospital Sunday morning of pneumonia.  He was born and raised in 
Clarksville and lived here until a young man.  He was married to Velma Granger 
of Saranac and has two daughters, Mrs. Roy Garlman and Mrs. Eric Von Meyer, 
who survive him.  He also leaves one sister, Velma of Detroit; three brothers, 
Claude of Indianapolis and Lewis and George of Clarksville.  There are five 
grandchildren who reside in Battle Creek.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Saranac at the Congregational church.  
Burial was in Saranac.
