(illegible word) were impressively sad as Mrs. Mickel's mother, Mrs. Anna Austin, a woman nearly 90 years of age, took the last look at the form of her daughter, whom she had walked a long way nearly every day during the 14 months of illness to see. The Rebekahs formed an aisle for the funeral group at the home and the Ku Klux Klan at the grave, the later giving their burial service. Rev. H.G. Hurrell preached the sermon at the house and gave the burial prayer. Mrs. R.A. Colwell and Mrs. Thane Benedict sang, "Under the Wing" and "No Night There". Miss Lillian Ashdown accompanied them on the organ. The bearers were Joseph Loper, Archie Anderson, Ted Bloomer, Clyde Markham, William Wingrove, and Eldon Willard. Burial took place in Highland Park cemetery.
