He was born in Ionia, October 1, 1888 the son of Noble Micks, Sr. and Mary Brown Micks. He lived his entire life in Ionia on Harrison street. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul church and attended the academy. He was married in Detroit in 1917 to Mary Ann Thomas and was a veteran of World War I, serving with the 310th engineers in Russia. He was a life member of Ionia Elks lodge and Lesky Dulek chapter DAV. Before retiring he was employed by AC Spark Plug and Fisher Body Division of General motors. Surviving are his brother George of Detroit, one sister, Mrs. LeRoy Schlernitzauer, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Rosary will be said Monday evening at 7 p.m. at Boynton funeral home.
