The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, October 12, 1964
William F. Micks, 60, of 532 Harrison Street, died suddenly Saturday after 
getting off a bus in Grand Rapids and was pronounced dead on arrival at St. 
Mary’s hospital about 2:30 p.m.  He was born January 4, 1904 in Ionia, the son 
of Noble and Mary Brown Micks, and had been employed as fireman for the C & O 
Railroad the past 30 years. 

Survivors include two brothers, Noble Micks of Ionia and George of Detroit; 
one sister, Mrs. Catherine Schlernitzauer of Ionia.  Rosary will be recited at 
7:30 Monday evening at Boynton funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 
at SS Peter and Paul church Tuesday at 9 a.m. with burial at Mt. Olivet 
cemetery.
