The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, March 1, 1972
George Bernard Micks, 66, of Beech Daly, Detroit, died February 29 at his 
home, after being ill two weeks.  He was born in Ionia, February 27, 1906 the 
son of Noble Micks Sr. and Mary Brown Micks.  He attended school at SS Peter 
and Paul academy and was a former member of SS Peter and Paul church.  He was 
married by Reverend Hugh McCarthy in 1935 of Agnes Walker at Detroit.

Surviving besides his wife Agnes are three sons, George Jr., Thomas, Louis; 
four grandchildren all of Detroit, one sister Mrs. LeRoy Schlernitzauer of 
Ionia.  

Funeral services are indefinite at this time.
