Hastings Reminder  May 23, 1995
Harlan L. Middaugh, 86, of Lake Odessa passed away on Sunday,  May 1, 1995 at 
Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born on April 9, 1909 in Woodbury, 
the son of Abraham and Flora (Shade) Middaugh.  He attended school  in Odessa 
Center and married Estia Knott.  She preceded him in death on November 3, 1987.

Mr. Middaugh was employed from 1947 to 1950 at Oldsmobile in Lansing and owned 
and operated a service station in Lake Odessa for 35 years.  Also preceding him 
in death were one brother, Ezra; one sister, Velma Johnson and a great 
granddaughter, Sarah.  Surviving are two sons, Harlan Middaugh of Lake Odessa 
and LaVern Middaugh of Arizona six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake 
Odessa.  Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be 
made to the Lakewood Community Ambulance.
