Ionia Sentinel – Tuesday, 27 December 1932
Mrs. Mary C.  Middleton, of Saranac, born in Ohio, August 19, 1853, died 
Sunday night at the home of her daughter Mrs. Norma Childs following a long 
illness of cancer.  The funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mrs. 
Childs Wednesday afternoon, at 1 o’clock by Rev. F. Frye.  The burial will be 
in the Saranac cemetery.

Mrs. Middleton came to Michigan when a child and spent a great many years on a 
farm near Saranac, but had lived for the past 20 years in the village.  
Another daughter, Mrs. John Winegar of Saranac, and a son Glenn Middleton of 
Diamondale and seven grandchildren survive
